Business Process Analyst Policy

This is a Permanent position in Brussels.


  • Transform business strategy into business requirements with special attention to Policy processes;
  • Challenge and manage expectations of the business and assess solutions balancing cost-quality and feasibility;
  • Drive continuous improvement to ensure that the IT department as a whole can meet and exceed customer requirements;
  • Encourage knowledge sharing within Organizational Management, showing exemplary behaviour and energize colleagues to stretch their abilities;
  • Business Process Analyses;
  • Take the lead for business conception across business processes by collecting requirements and translating them into solutions, ensuring full compliance and consistency / integrity of Business Concept across processes;
  • Guide the validated solution design through the development value chain;
  • Foster relation with business stakeholders, by guiding business through the whole development value chain, leading walkthroughs for cross domain topics, preparing and securing customer approval of acceptance criteria within respective process and participating in P&C management meetings;
  • Participate in international communities to determine common requirements, maximize re-use of solutions and determine improvement areas of the core application.

Primary work location is Brussels, but regularly, participation in Rotterdam is required (approx. 5 days/month) and occasionally, training or conferences might be held in Austria or another EU country.



  • In the possession of at least a relevant Bachelor degree, a Master degree is preferred. Computer Science or IT related qualifications such as Information Management, preferred;
  • Experience in a similar position would be preferred but is not necessary;
  • Good knowledge of IT;
  • Pro-active with the ability to work and make decisions independently;
  • Good presentation and communication skills (oral and written) in both Dutch and English are required;;
  • Excellent analytical skills;
  • Project management skills;
  • Adequate knowledge of insurance and financial processes in particular is preferred.
